If you’re into wildlife, you’re at the right place in Cambridgeshire as the area has several zoos and parks where you can ideally spend an afternoon with your little ones. For example Shepreth Wildlife Park on less than 20 minutes’ drive from the city center of Cambridge.

This award-winning park offers space to various animals that are categorized by all different continents. When you’re in the area of Asia you’ll find tigers and monkeys and in Australia you can walk between the Wallibis. In addition, the park has various outdoor and indoor play areas for children of all ages.

The entrance ticket also provides access to the live talks and feed which are held every hour at a different place in the park. Spectacular is the bird of prey, where he’ll be guided to different spots with pieces of meat. In less than a meter away, you suddenly come face to face with this huge bird. Very impressive.

After you’ve visited all the animals you can settle down at the spacious playground on the edge of the park. Adjacent you’ll find a cafeteria where you can go for a small snack or lunch and an indoor softplay for the smaller children.

In addition to the regular program for the public, the park also organizes educational programs for schools and is a perfect place to organize children’s parties. For more information, click here.
