Every time when we go out for a walk in the countryside we found out the environment is completely different than all the others we’ve been to. Something I think is really remarkable as the landscape looks more of the same when you’re driving around. But following trails by footpaths brings you to extremely beautiful stretched places. And although you’re still close to ‘home’ it feels like you’re somewhere far away.
This time we drove towards Wicken, where we started our walk from the centre of the village upwards the nearby gardens and bigger fields of green waves. – Such a beautiful thing to see.
Following the paths makes it more easy to walk with kids, however this time we sneaked between the high grain, as there were some little paths to walk on as well. Super excited of course, especially for kids as it feels like you’re walking in a maze.
Walking between stretched fields means you’ll probably notice some wildlife. For example bunnies and dears, so don’t forget to bring your benucolars.
The route we took wasn’t that long, but in the end a perfect distance as the sky tuned darker and the wind harder. – But again, this walk offered really beautiful views of the English countryside. Definitely worthwhile to bring a visit.
