Now autumn has started we luckily can still enjoy some sunny weather. Perfect to spend as much time outside and find some fun outdoor activities with the kids. And since animals often remain big favorites, nothing is better than exploring another city farm. This time we visited Hounslow Urban Farm, a spacious children’s farm on the outskirts of London.

Upon arrival at the nearby large parking lot you will immediately be surprised by the extremely low flying airplanes. Not very surprising, since Heathrow Airport is practically next to it. Very exciting to see, especially for kids.

The farm covers more than 29 hectares and is one of the largest community farms in London with animals such as: pigs, horses, goats, cows, rabbits, ducks, geese, alpacas and much more.

At the farm there is plenty to do for all ages, you can carry and feed some animals, ride a pony and even spot some small insects and reptiles during the Animal encounter which is organized a few times a day.

After meeting all the animals, you can also have some fun time at one of the playground areas. There is an open air playground with mainly climbing equipment and an indoor play corner, including some soft play attributes, pedal tractors and an air castle.

Adjacent to the yard you will find a souvenir shop and a farm café, a perfect stop to end your visit with a cup of tea and some delicious cake.

Hounslow Urban Farm is very educational and has a lot to offer. A perfect place to find out everything about the farm animals (and even some tropical ones)! Nice to visit with the family or to hold a birthday party.
